Musselburgh Community

About

At City on a Hill everyone is welcome and we’d love to meet you. We regularly get together in Small Groups and bigger Gatherings. Our Gatherings have a relaxed atmosphere, where we learn from the Bible, worship God, and build friendships.

East Lothian is a beautiful part of Scotland and our Musselburgh Community attracts people from across the region. We’d love to meet you and have you involved in our Musselburgh Community.

We meet as the Musselburgh Community every Sunday at 10am apart from once on a quarterly basis where we meet with all our other Communities for ‘The Gathering’. Visit the Coming Up page to find out when our next The Gathering date will be.

If you would like to join one of our Small Groups you can find out more here.

Bruno Fonseca

MUSSELBURGH COMMUNITY PASTOR

Bruno, originally from Brazil, is married to Daniele, and together they have four children: Arthur, Priya, Octavio, and Enzo. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Theology, and began his career in the corporate world, working in the civil construction and metal industries.

Over 12 years ago, Bruno and his family responded to God's call, leaving his corporate career to serve as missionaries in the Amazon region of Brazil for nearly two years. In 2016, they moved to India, where Bruno and Dani focused on church planting, discipling leaders, and training local ministry teams.

Sensing God’s leading once again, Bruno and his family moved to Scotland in 2024. He now serves as Pastor of the Musselburgh Community with City on a Hill. Bruno enjoys films, traveling, riding motorbikes, and spending time with family and friends around the barbecue.

Serving

Serving is a great way to get to develop friendships with others, serve God and the local church, and be part of the mission to share the good news of Jesus with the world. We have different teams and areas of serving that you can be involved with. From serving on the kids and youth teams, to sound and visual teams, to leading small groups. Whatever your experience and gifts there’s plenty of opportunity to grow together as we all play our part. Visit our teams page here to find out more.
